Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SAS (School Administration System) software and services. By accessing or using our software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SAS software, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms. If you are using SAS on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our software or services.
License Grant
2.1 Software License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Install and use SAS software on your own servers
- Access and use the software for your internal school administration purposes
- Receive updates and support during your active license period
2.2 License Types
Trial License
30-day full-featured trial for evaluation purposes
Monthly License
RM15/month - Renews automatically unless cancelled
Yearly License
RM144/year - Annual billing with 20% discount
Lifetime License
RM5000 - One-time payment for perpetual use
2.3 License Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the software
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Share your license key with other schools or organizations
- Install the software on more servers than your license permits
Account and License Activation
3.1 Account Registration
To use SAS, you must:
- Create an account with accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
3.2 License Activation
Your license key must be activated to use the software. License activation requires an internet connection and validates your license with our servers. Each license key is valid for one school installation only.
Payment and Billing
4.1 Fees and Payment
You agree to pay all fees according to the pricing and payment terms in effect at the time. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in our Refund Policy.
4.2 Automatic Renewal
Monthly and yearly licenses automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will charge your payment method on file for the renewal.
4.3 Price Changes
We may change our prices at any time. For recurring subscriptions, price changes will take effect at the next renewal period. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases.
4.4 Taxes
All fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes, including GST, SST, or other sales taxes in Malaysia.
Support and Updates
5.1 Support Services
Active license holders receive:
- Email support (response within 24-48 hours)
- Access to documentation and knowledge base
- Bug fixes and security patches
- Technical assistance with installation and configuration
5.2 Software Updates
Active license holders receive free access to:
- Minor updates and bug fixes
- Security patches
- Feature enhancements
Major version upgrades may require an additional fee or upgrade to a higher license tier.
Your Responsibilities
As a SAS user, you are responsible for:
- Hosting: Providing and maintaining your own web hosting infrastructure
- Backups: Creating and maintaining regular backups of your data
- Security: Securing your server, database, and user accounts
- Compliance: Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations
- Data: The accuracy, quality, and legality of data you enter into the system
- Users: Actions of all users accessing your SAS installation
Intellectual Property
SAS software, including all code, designs, features, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the software.
You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim any ownership over the content you store in your SAS installation.
Warranties and Disclaimers
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
SAS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR RM100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may cancel your license at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Your access to updates and support will end
- Your license will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You may continue using your current version of the software
10.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your license immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Fail to pay applicable fees
- Use the software illegally or fraudulently
- Engage in activities that harm us or other users
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SAS shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website
- Sending email notifications
- Displaying in-app notifications
Your continued use of SAS after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
